Yola Ashkenazie

Yola is a graduate of Barnard College’s dual-degree program with the Jewish Theological Seminary. She studied Psychology and Economics at Columbia and Jewish Texts at JTS. Yola is an active advocate for Jewish students on campus. She has spoken out against antisemitism at Columbia and the need for the university to address the issue. She uses her voice on social media and on national telivision, including on Fox News and MSNBC. She spoke at Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) and Rep. Virginia Foxx’s (R-NC) press conference immediately before Columbia’s congressional hearing on antisemitism before the House Education Committee. Yola was also actively involved in Columbia’s chapter of Sigma Delta Tau and was the student board President of Chabad at Columbia. She is involved in her community and is the youngest board member of the Sephardic Community Alliance (SCA). Yola works at J. Safra Sarasin, the asset management arm of Safra National Bank. Previously, she worked at the Goodface Project, Highline Capital Management, and Coefficient Capital.
